		<abstract>The paper proposes an algorithm for FEA mesh generation which is a combination of a quadtree technique and a Delaunay triangulation. The mesh is generated in two stages. Initially, the interior of the region is meshed using a quadtree approach. In a second stage, the region between the interior mesh and the boundary of the model is meshed using a Delaunay criterion and also the quadtree information to avoid extensive searches in the data structure.</abstract>
