| Abstract | In this paper we relate the problem of obtaining convenient representations for heterogeneous objects to the problem of finding certain decompositions of the underlying space. Here, heterogeneity may refer to the fact that local topological properties of the object point set may not be uniform or to the fact that different parts of the object may be made of different materials. |
