		<abstract>This work describes how the use of object-oriented programming can help to separate the implementation of algorithms in digital image processing systems from the coding of "non-essential" functionality. With thas directive it was conceived and implemented a system, named PHOTOPIX, wich was coded in the C++ language, using the application programming interface of the Microsoft Windows environment. Methods for converting the spectral information between images of different resolution were also investigated.</abstract>
