AbstractPixelWare, a digital image processing system, developed to work on PC-compatible microcomputers, is presented in this work. The system is compatible with SuperVGA video boards and monitors, which are affordable yet powerful enough to adequately support image processing work. PixelWare is a modular, expandable and user-friendly system, built upon a graphical user interface, with the intention to serve as a framework for further image processing development.
